A Clear Brief Produces a More Relevant First Sample

You do not need a complete formula specification before contacting AXDW. A useful first sample does, however, need a defined product, customer, texture direction and packaging context. The information below helps us choose a suitable starting formula and avoid unrelated sample options.

1. Product Name and Format

Tell us whether the product is a serum, cream, cleanser, mask, body lotion, shampoo or another format. If several products are required, list them separately with the intended fill volume.

2. Reference Product or Texture

A physical sample, product link, photograph or short description can be used as the starting reference. Explain which details are important: watery or gel texture, richness, fragrance, color, absorption, foam, rinse feel or other visible and sensory characteristics.

3. Destination Market and Sales Channel

Country, retail channel, salon use and expected customer group affect packaging, product wording and the type of formula presentation required. This information also helps us avoid proposing an unsuitable format.

4. Packaging Type and Fill Volume

Send bottle, jar, tube or pouch references if available. Formula viscosity and dispensing need to be checked with the intended packaging. A 30 ml dropper serum, 50 ml airless cream and 200 ml body lotion require different component and filling reviews.

5. Fragrance, Color and Appearance

State whether the product should be fragrance-free, low-scent or use a selected fragrance direction. Clear, tinted, pearlized and opaque formulas also need different visual and packaging checks.

6. Estimated Quantity

Provide a realistic quantity range for each product. Quantity affects formula batch planning, component availability, decoration method and carton cost. It is acceptable to provide an estimate during the first discussion.

How We Handle Sample Comments

After the customer receives the sample, we ask for specific comments on application, texture, fragrance, color and after-feel. We prepare revisions against those comments and record the approved sample version. Packaging is confirmed before bulk production begins.
